Shanghai Nights
It was one of those moments when life felt a lil too loud — the kind of loud where you’re running from one thing to the next, barely remembering to breathe. And in the middle of that chaos, I felt incredibly lucky to be able to book a flight to Shanghai and just… slip away.
A little escape. A date with myself. A chance to sit with my thoughts, treat myself to good food and milk tea, daydream and wonder what comes next.
I’d been wanting to return to Shanghai since my last visit over ten years ago. So I carved out four days — squeezed between a week in Taiwan and my next flight to Singapore — just for me. No plans. No itinerary.
Just a desire to walk the city, watch strangers, get lost on purpose, and end the night in a dim jazz bar. Sometimes the best trips are the ones where you’re not looking for anything — you just let the city hold you for a while.
