New Beginning
“And suddenly you know: It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”
You know when they say life would reward you with something even better when you are brave enough to let go of things that no longer serve you? Well, letting go is not always easy but life did give me something much muuuuch better the day I decided to choose myself and walk away from things that no longer serve me. Yes, that big reward is…WE FINALLY FOUND OUR DREAM HOME! I have no idea what’s gonna happen next and it’s always whenever you start making real plans then life would throw you little surprises here and there. But the pandemic has taught me that we’re stronger than we think. Life is full of uncertainties anyway, you’ve just got to learn to live with it. For now, I just love the smell of a new beginning while still focusing on myself.
A couple of things I’m quite proud of doing in the past few months are; I put extra hours practicing tennis, pole dance, and aerial silk. I started to create again, from photography to podcasts and a bunch of exciting projects. Honestly, it all started when a good friend of mine asked me recently if I would update my blog, contribute to magazines, record a podcast, and interview women like what I used to do. She said it’s been too long and I need to create again. “It’s time to take action, G!” My girl was right. Visiting my blog later that night after our call and rereading some old posts, I remember the reason why I started a blog back in 2012 because I simply just want to share, celebrate life, and hopefully inspire someone out there. Little did I know, life took me to 45 countries…gave me sooo many opportunities I never thought I could have. Photography and writing then became my therapy. My way to express myself, to tell a story, and to celebrate others. Oh boy, I even still have this dream to run a media company, but what’s stopping me? The past year has been so challenging and I felt uninspired and unmotivated right after I published my book, honestly, it was just so hard to write or create. But perhaps, it’s not too late to try again. To take action. I don’t wish for an easy-breezy year ahead but to embrace, to find the strength, the courage, and the simplest joy to do the things that scare us every day in our fullest glory…because it’s always worth it to keep going.
I’m so excited to share with you soon a brand new podcast episode, more interviews with new friends and muse, and so much more!
To K and all my loves (you know who you are)
If you read this, thanks for always being there through thick and thin.
